In six months (and a few days) we will be making final preparations for Christmas and the quickly approaching New Year. Bustling around to look after last minute shopping, wrapping gifts and baking.

I suppose there are lots of reasons. But, the time I am spending on the first round editing of my next book is making me reflect on the months left in the year. The marketing side asks, “Do I want to push to have it ready and published for the Christmas buying frenzy?” And the reality side thinks I need to relax and let it hit the selling shelves when it gets done in due course?
