I haven’t really thought much about sharing a story I am writing in the form of instalments until the conversation came up at a recent Writers' Group evening. In the past, I have enjoyed stories fellow writers have posted in this fashion; however, the projects I am working on didn't seem to fit the criteria. That was until the weekly prompt for a 99 Word Story opened the door for me.
As a writer, it is easier to write a lot of words as opposed to telling the story using only 99 words. Hanna's Story, the expanded version is more elaborate, taking twists and turns outside the snippets the instalments might offer.
In the end, and I don't know when that will be, the results may morph into something more. Will it be a short story, or perhaps a compilation of chapters destined for another book? That decision will be made when I think I am finished with Hanna and the other characters being introduced as the story progresses.
