Changes have been many in my short life time. Each making a difference in some way to how I live, how I look at life, and how I plan to embrace the years to come. Change, for the most part, is good. It keeps us on our toes. Keeps us thinking and doing. Less chance of complacency and ruts forming.
I am thankful to have learned so much in the many days of my life. It pleases me no end that I am able to impart this knowledge on others. All the while, I continue my quest to fill my brain with way too much information! Sharing when I can and hoarding for when the time is right to expound on a given topic.
One of my favourite sayings, “age is a state of mind” allows me to be at any point in my life. Somedays are a portrait of a giddy school girl laughing uncontrollably with friends. Somedays, seriousness moves me to thought provoking, mature conversations. But everyday, I enjoy just being me. When I wrote my book Moon Rising, I included a piece called Puddles. It’s a reflection on getting older and how we still need to play. Keeping our minds young, remembering the past and taking a hold of the future. |
How do you feel about the age you are?
