Today, it’s cloudy, snowy, not too much wind, and much warmer than the earlier days of December. A time of the year when our brain feels the need to wind down only to realize we have promised ourselves to gear up and tackle the list of thoughts we think we must accomplish in the coming year.
Taking life as it comes is a good way to reflect. Using the same tactic to welcome thoughts and plans set out for the coming months. Will I miss 2016? I suppose, but there is much waiting for me in the coming year. Small things that appear for no reason, to make me laugh. Smiling comes easy at the sight of everyday visions most people take for granted and never truly see. Words yet to be written so the stories are not left behind. Missing 2016? Perhaps, but the new year is showing signs, already, of life in my world being good. Yes, the new year has many doors to open and windows to look through. Each taken in stride and in their own time. Each an adventure, a gathering of memories to share. Some left ajar to capture the stoic reminders of yesterday, of yesteryear. |
