The Third Canadian Field Park Company (Royal Canadian Engineers). Our Dad, Lance-Corporal Iver K (Bud) Edall served with this unit during WWII. The names on the ribbon are: D-Day, Normandy, Gruchy, Caen, Falaise, Boulogne, Calais, The Schelde, Ghent, Nijmegen, Reichswald, Cleve, The Rhine, Emmerich, Holland, Ems River, Aurich and Emden. Family information has revealed this small copper plaque was given only to members of their Company. The names listed on the ribbon were the places the Third Canadian Field Park Company helped to liberate during World War II. The bottom left insignia is that of the Company. We are thankful for the sacrifices the men and women of our country have made and are still making while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces We will remember. Always. |
