Links to Success

Reading and listening to social media material is comparable to sitting in a library surrounded by walls of books and not knowing which to take off the shelf first. Like visiting the library, I choose my social media links, follows and newsletters for a specific reason . . . insight on topics of interest that are the opinions of other people.

Some are riveting, some give a fresh perspective on a well worn topic and occasionally, some fall into the category of “You’re are kidding, right?”. And, there are those that I have selected merely for the wit and entertainment aspect that add levity to the day.

I don’t always agree with what has been presented to me. Having said that, on the off chance that I have missed being wowed in first few lines, I like to give the author the benefit of the doubt and courtesy of reading the piece in its entirety before making my decision of its relevancy in my quest for information.

Opting to be tuned-in to every social media platform available, may not be necessary for everyone.  Originally I picked the few that I thought would best fit my needs. As time evolved, I realized there was a necessity to expand my knowledge base and this required opening my mind to other platforms.

The practice of using information supplied by others on a regular basis, opens the door for anyone to succeed. Granted, some data is bogus, some websites want your money first, and then there is the huge percentage that just want to share their knowledge to anyone who is interested in what they have to say.

Is there a favourite social media link that has encouraged your success?
