We have them growing along the fence. Every so often, an unsuspecting helper thinks they are some form of grass and sharpens their weed eater skills on them. The plants may not bloom that year, but their greenery keeps growing. A reminder that they will try again next year if they can’t force at least one bloom to show itself before the frost hits and winter snow blankets the ground.
