I kind of wondered what would happen if I got shook lose. I, like so many like me, were comfortable. Secure. No cares. No thought about being set free. An eye opener for sure to discover I am by myself. Stopping here one day and there another. Going to where the wind takes me. Never knowing where I will set down for the night or will I become a comfort in another’s bed. Will something hang me up, or will I just continue to float on the breeze? I guess that is what being a feather is all about. |

I love it. I had no idea until you revealed it at the end. Even the thought of being a comfort in someone's bed didn't give it away. Very clever. Out of the bird thinking!

Thank you, Norah. It was a bit of a trial to write without giving too much away, but I loved doing it.

Clever, Ann! You captured the feel of transience, too and it makes for a great flash analogy.

Thanks Charli. Sometimes it's fun to look a life from the not so normal view
