Challenges

From the APL Writing Group

March 7  - For those craving homework, Jennifer suggested:  Write something about a game or outside adventure that you played when you were young.

March 9 - Homework challenge: Write a Limerick of your choice. It was suggested that St. Patrick's Day and/or Easter be included.
Information

No Plot? No Problem - Gord provided information on this book. It is available at the following links: Amazon.ca, AbeBooks, Albris. AbeBooks  and Albris both have a selection of used books at deeply discounted pricing.

Voice and Vision Partnership - Over the past year, discussions have been brought to the table regarding a Artist/Writer joint project. Of late, Jennifer has been working to make this happen for the APL Writing Group. She meets with Veronica Funk on Tuesday, March 15.

Your commitment to the project and your feedback would be appreciated.  Please direct comments to Jennifer.

Points that have been agreed upon at the March 9 gathering of writers at APL.
- Seven people (thus far) are committed to submit to the project - Shane, Tandy, Margaret, Sheila H, Jennifer, Ann and Judy.
- One (1) piece only - maximum 250 words - poem, flash fiction, prose of your choice
- Family content discussed  and agreed upon - no foul language, nudity, violence
- **Suggested that the end pieces be auctioned off at the event that auctions the adirondack chairs.
-**Suggested the Writers/Artist have their own event to auction the items.
- Agreed a meeting between us and the “other side members” is needed before going forward
- **Need to know time line to completion
- **Need to know time line to have written work complete to share with other side
- **Liked the idea of choosing anonymously even if everyone was in the room when it is done.
- Any other thoughts, suggestions, questions were to be directed to you before next Tues meeting with Veronica.
-** Legalities of protection, who gets to keep the work when its done, go on the auction block - discussion should be done with other side before this should be decided.

-**NOTE - These points will be discussed with Veronica. More information will be available at the March 16 APL Writing Group Meeting

Sheila and Margaret suggested: - Prepare a catalogue of the work when it is complete - sell as a fund raiser - a keepsake for those involved - Voice and Vision Partnership Volume 1 - Make it an annual thing that can be compiled and sold.

There is a possibility of eleven (11) or more artist interested in this project. The Writing Group needs to have commitment from an equal amount of participants.
