Sometimes, quite by accident, we find a place that screams, “This is it!"

The duck pond is a destination that welcomes me in every season.

Early mornings are my favourite time to visit. Especially when the pond has thawed from its long winter sleep. The sounds of the birds waking. The soft voices of the cattle in the distant. The sun turning the darkness into shades of gold.

I come here to watch the moon set and the sun rise. I come here to take pictures and to write. I come here to reflect and just be.

When I am unable to be there in person, the pictures easily take me on a journey to this tranquil retreat. Time travel moments that inspire and allow me to connect in so many ways.

An unsuspecting find that has become my solace.

This is Day 5, and the final day of this photo and story challenge. It has been a lot of fun going through pictures, writing stories and anecdotes. Thank you, Charli Mills for nominating me to participate in this challenge.  Today, I nominate the person who introduced me to the duck pond,  Debbie , to take up the challenge if she is so obliged to participate.
