I just finished "The Quiet Spirits," and loved it. It kept me turning pages from the beginning. Ann's characters were compelling and she presented them with great depth! I walked with Brandi in the lush meadows, peeked in the windows of the long empty cabins, and drank from the cool mountain springs. The dust and noise of the round-up stayed with me as I hurriedly turned to the next page anxious to join Brandi and and her friends in their next adventure. I highly recommend this read and am hoping Ann will soon have a sequel!

A must read for anyone interested in history of the old west and it’s families.
Though I was surprised at no description of the main characters the mysterious plot kept me riveted. I will anxiously await the sequel.

I just finished this great read. There were compelling observations, lively discussions between characters and descriptions of locations that practically invite the reader to go explore and go looking for the vision and wonder of the past. Lots of questions and a hope that there will be more. This book re-ignited my love of the written word. Thank you.

After reading The Quiet Spirits I found myself feeling nostalgia for a life that I will never get to experience. The imagery and detail that Ann brings to the page show her love for western heritage and the best part is we can all go along for the ride. I'm very much looking forward to the next installment.
I just remembered I still need to try the baking powder biscuit recipe too!

Finished reading The Quiet Spirits, really enjoyed it! Loved the blend of facts, mystery along with the insight on the western lifestyle/heritage. Really liked the Brandi character, it was almost like I know her! Liked the way you left it open for the possibility of a sequel. Nice work!

I finished the book and enjoyed it very much. The descriptions of the area she visited were beautifully done and when I closed my eyes, I could see it. I would have liked there to be a conclusion to the story, an ending instead of being left hanging but that is me. I know this leads into the next book.
