I cannot say enough about how prompt writing has played an important part in my writing career. It is an activity that not only gives you a break from larger projects, but makes you think outside your creative comfort zone. Prompt writing can open doors to bigger things, as did my submission to a prompt when I wrote Home, a 99 word story (no more, no less).
