It you took the time to open the link and read what you found there, why not take the time to leave a comment. Not on the social media where you found the link. Although that is appreciated, too. Write something on the actual Blog post that you just read.
My thoughts on why people don’t write comments rather than flit in and out of links: Most don’t want to get involved. They worry about what others would think of their comments. They think they don’t have the time. They have done their part by indicating their like on the FB page. It is much, much easier to scroll down the posts on Twitter and FB and click the Like buttons without much thought and often without reading what they are liking.
I agree, making comments on Blogs takes time, or so we think. It does take a little more effort than a click of a mouse. You will most likely be asked to fill in your name (first name or company is OK, in most cases). Your email address (which doesn’t show up for the public to see unless otherwise noted). Lastly, your will need to type our comment.
Entrepreneurs! This is an inexpensive way to get your name seen by people who are not in your current circle of friends. From this one small act, you could start the growth of your own list of followers.
Don’t be a scaredy cat. Live on the edge. Leave a comment on the next blog comment you open and read. Your words can be long winded or short and sweet. You’ll never know how lucrative it can be unless you try it.
